Opening times of Patarei

June to August open every day 10:00 to 18:00

May, September and October open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00

The exhibition area is open from 15 May 2019

The exhibition area might also be open in November, weather permitting

Outside the usual opening times the exhibition area can only be visited with a guide by prior arrangement.

Adult 5 €

Concession (student, university student, pensioner, teacher) 3 €

Free entry: the repressed, employees of Estonian museums (with certificate)


Entrance

The exhibition area is located in the east wing of Patarei. Entrance is from the side facing the Port of Tallinn either from Suur-Patarei cul-de-sac through the gate, or from the seaside promenade through the small gate.

Parking is in the public car parks surrounding Patarei for the set fees.

NB Access for visitors with disabilities is very restricted, as Patarei is not a finished museum. If the weather is not warm enough, it might be cold inside. The exhibition area is on two floors and there is no lift. Visitors with heightened sensitivity have to take into account the authenticity of the prison interior and the dramatic nature of the exhibition’s theme.



Guided Tours

Guided tours are for groups of up to 20 people. Tours are available in Estonian, English and Russian. Duration is up to 1 hour.

Price: 35 € (in addition to tickets for all group members)

Visiting with a private guide is only possible by prior arrangement.
